Student Life

Oxbridge students during trip to Oxford University Natural History Museum

The Oxbridge classroom isn’t limited to one room or building.  Every Oxbridge course is designed to make the most of the extraordinary resources of the great cities in which the programs are taking place, so that students discover the city through the course and the course through the city.  On any given day, the classroom might be a local museum, a research lab or hospital, the market square, or a nearby park. Some days, the teacher’s expertise is supplemented by discussions, workshops, and demonstrations run by vising guest speakers. This variety in both venue and content delivery are core to our academic philosophy and contribute to an interactive and immersive environment.

Our extracurricular activities enable students to have fun outside class safely while immersing themselves in Oxford life. They can go punting on the River Thames, play quidditch or cricket, or go for a jog around Christ Church meadows. They can visit museums, hear choral concerts, or go to Shakespeare plays. They can visit all the historical sites in Oxford where pivotal moments in British history happened. From discovering the world-famous Pitt Rivers Museum, to following in C.S. Lewis’ footsteps, to shopping in Blackwell’s Bookshop. The Oxford Prep Experience gives students the opportunity to make Oxford their own.

Although no week on an Oxbridge program is “typical”, the below provides a general overview of a week in the life of The Oxford Prep Experience student.
