The Oxford Prep Experience

Grades 8-9

Corpus Christi College, University of Oxford

July 2 – July 28, 2022

Tuition: $10,395

Now approaching its twentieth year, The Oxford Prep Experience, for students in grades 8-9, takes place in Corpus Christi College. Corpus Christi was founded in 1517, and is located in a quiet, cobblestoned street in the center of Oxford.

Students on the Prep Experience choose a Major and a Minor from 14 program courses. These include Business and Finance, Engineering, Creative Writing and a great favorite - CSI Oxford. Alongside class field-trips, students can choose from a myriad of optional daily activities to discover Oxford and immerse themselves in British culture. They visit London and Stonehenge, attend Shakespeare plays, go on guided tours of Christ Church and the Ashmolean museum, or visit one of the many sites in Oxford that witnessed pivotal events in British history.

About Oxford

In the 8th century, the Anglo-Saxons found a shallow point - called a “ford” - in the River Thames, where oxen could cross the water. They named it “Oxenaforda.” The 13th century saw the beginnings of the University of Oxford's collegiate system. Oxford is still considered one of the best universities in the world, and it hosts our longest-running summer academic programs. Our students live in the same rooms as Oxford undergraduates, and they work with some of the leading academics who teach them. On our academic summer programs in Oxford, students choose two summer courses; coupled with English sports and tours of significant sites in British history.
