About Barcelona

Barcelona is one of the most-visited cities in Europe, home to the world-famous FC Barcelona Football Club and several World Heritage Site buildings. The work of Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí can be seen throughout the city, specifically through the imposing Sagrada Familia church – which has been under construction since 1882 - and the beautiful Parc Güell. While studying at Barcelona’s Collegi Major Sant Jordi, students live in the affluent neighborhood of Sarria. This village-like area is situated near wooded walking trails, a gourmet food district, and  CosmoCaixa Barcelona science museum, which boasts a planetarium and a living Amazon rainforest.
