About Barcelona

Barcelona is one of the most-visited cities in Europe, home to the world-famous FC Barcelona and several World Heritage Site buildings. The work of Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí can be seen throughout the city, specifically through the imposing Sagrada Familia church – which has been under construction since 1882 - and the beautiful Parc Güell. While studying at Barcelona’s Collegi Major Sant Jordi, students live in the affluent neighborhood of Sarrià. This village-like area is situated near wooded walking trails, a gourmet food district, and the CosmoCaixa Barcelona science museum, which boasts a planetarium and a living Amazonian rainforest.
