The Oxford Prep Experience is based in Corpus Christi College, located on a quiet, cobblestoned lane in the medieval heart of Oxford.
Corpus Christi is Oxford’s smallest college, offering an incomparable blend of intimacy and historic ambiance. The college was founded in 1517 by Richard Fox, then Bishop of Winchester, who established a library that was described by the great humanist, Erasmus, as “the wonder of the world.” Among its most notable features are the elaborate sundial which still stands in the quad today, and the serene Fellows’ Garden that lies along the orginal medieval town wall.
Corpus Christi has a long tradition of academic distinction. In the 17th century, College President John Rainolds led the scholars who produced the King James Bible, arguably the most important book ever written in English. Other alumni include one of the founders of the Virginia Colony, the philosopher and historian of ideas Isaiah Berlin, the writer Vikram Seth, and two current members of the British cabinet.
Our program has exclusive use of the college and its facilities, including the dining hall, TV room, and beautiful gardens and lawns.
