Dear Students, Parents and Teachers,

PendergastI am thrilled and honored to invite you to join us for our seventh year of The Oxford Prep Experience. Few places in the world can boast such rich intellectual and cultural traditions as Oxford. During our weeks together we will take advantage of every opportunity to provide young scholars with an enriching and unforgettable experience.

Having served as Head of Middle School for many years, I know that our students are at a time in their lives when they are eager to explore and ready to be challenged. What better place to stretch capable and curious minds than Oxford University, with its beautiful setting and rich traditions? Having spent several wonderful summers in Oxford over the last few years, I am eager to return to the place where J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis, as well as so many other great minds, have walked, talked, written, and taught.

At Oxford, our students have the opportunity to learn from, and with, some of the finest teachers in the world. All devoted and accomplished scholars in their chosen fields, our instructors share in our students’ passion for their subjects, and challenge them in ways never before experienced. Our teachers will be guides along a memorable journey of seminars, lively classroom discussions, directed presentations, and enriching visits to famous historical sites. Students will also meet guest speakers from all over the world, whose presentations will introduce them to topics they may not have explored before, but may yet become an inspiration in future years.

As the Director of The Oxford Prep Experience, I am pleased and proud to join Jim Basker in inviting you to consider applying to our program. We are eager to meet you and, together, begin a journey that you can only experience in Oxford. The opportunity promises to inspire your love of learning for many years to come. As you explore this brochure, I hope you will consider taking part in an unforgettable summer with The Oxford Prep Experience.

Sincerely,
