Patricio Rodriguez Del Monje. BA Universidad del Salvador, MBA Ecole Supérieure de Commerce International du Pas-de-Calais, Lille (France). Born in Corrientes, Argentina, and raised in Córdoba and Buenos Aires, Patricio has also earned degrees in International Marketing at the Escuela Española de Negocios (Madrid), and in Foreign Trade and Economy at Camara de Comercio Exterior (Córdoba). He works in the fashion industry in Barcelona, where he owns two of his own businesses and is developing his own clothing brands. He is also the president of Ravaltres, a cultural and design association of independent fashion and graphic designers in Barcelona.
Dr Sinan Hosadam. BA, MS Middle East Technical University (Turkey), PhD CUNY. A native of Turkey, Sinan completed his doctoral studies in New York at CUNY. His areas of interest include contemporary and ancient political thought as well as new social movements and democracy in the context of the European Union. Not only has he taught political science and American politics, he has also taught courses on fine arts, music, modernity and post-modernity. Sinan worked as an international policy supervisor for the OSCE-UN mission in Kosovo, and is the past recipient of a Fulbright Fellowship and a Council of Higher Education of Turkey Fellowship.
Rebecca Layton. BA Barnard College, MFA Hunter College. Rebecca is an Austin, Texas-based artist who has produced work in collaboration with the Fabric Workshop and Museum in Philadelphia and is the recipient of the William Graf Travel Grant, which took her to England to conduct research at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. She has also been the recipient of artist fellowships at the MacDowell Colony, the Skowhegan School of Art, and the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts and has exhibited extensively in and around New York. She has been teaching studio art and art history for over a decade.
Dr James McGlade. BA (Hons) Wilfrid Laurie University, BA, MA Edinburgh College of Art, PhD Cambridge. An archeologist and artist, James’ work spans a variety of areas. Currently a lecturer in the Social Sciences department at Barcelona’s Cultural Experiences Abroad, James also remains active in the archeological world, serving as Senior Consultant Archeologist for the Estrats Gestió del Patromoni Cultural, a Catalan firm which focuses on the recovery, preservation and dissemination of cultural heritage in Spain. An educator for over 20 years, James specializes in Mediterranean history and heritage, including fine arts, history and literature.
Fabiola Alcalá. BA ITESO, (Mexico), MA Universitat Autonama de Barcelona. Fabiola teaches film and media at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, where she currently holds a doctoral fellowship in the Department of Journalism with a focus on Media Studies and Communications. Her thesis is about Werner Herzog’s documentary films, specifically The White Diamond, Grizzly Man and The Wild Blue Yonder. She has worked extensively in film production, both in Spain and in her native Mexico, where her short, Si el Señor nos da licencia – a documentary on how to obtain a driver’s license in Guadalajara – was selected as the national submission to FELAFACS 2003, a forum representing the best student productions in Latin America.
Dr Alon Lischinsky Kunin. BA (Hons) Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina, MA (Hons) Universidad de Salamanca, PhD Universitat Pompeu Fabra. Alon is a professor of Linguistics and Communication at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra. He has won numerous academic awards, including the University Medal from Pontificia Universidad Católica, and has published extensively on psycholinguistics, as well as studies of popular management books. He is currently the holder of a prestigious post-doctoral fellowship in Cultural and Media Studies at Umea University in Sweden.
