Mónica Cruz Guáqueta. BA Universidad de los Andes, MA GETSAB-UPC, Barcelona. Originally from Colombia, Monica is currently based in Barcelona where she leads the documentary project for the inventory and catalogue of the Gaudí Chair Archive collections. She was a staff member of the architectural journal DC, Papeles de crítica arquitectónica, published by the Barcelona School of Architecture, from 2003 to 2005. She has frequently contributed to seminars and conferences on the history of architecture, as well as various international architectural journals.
Inti Velez Botero. BA Universidad de los Andes, MA Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Grenoble. Inti is a trained architect living in Barcelona where he heads his own firm, focusing largely on ephemeral architecture. His work has appeared in such magazines as Living Deco, Casa Viva, and Deseño Exterior. Originally from Bogotá, Colombia, he has worked as a press manager in charge of international relations in the Barcelona offices of the architect Vicente Guallart, for whom he previously worked in Canada.
Didac Macia Bros. BA UNED, Madrid, BA (Hons), MA (Hons), Sorbonne, MFA (Hons) Strathclyde University, Glasgow. With degrees in history and physics, it has been Didac’s goal, throughout his years in academia to build bridges between the sciences and the humanities. He has found that the world of education provides the perfect new base for the exploration of his various interdisciplinary interests. Didac has taught Spanish, French and English in a variety of countries. He is also an executive member of Glasgow Handball Club, is the Scottish League Cup Champion of 2005, and won second place in the British University Championship in 2005.
José Jimenez Perez. BA Université de Paris I, MA Ecole du Louvre. A museologist originally from Andalucía, José has several qualifications in the organization and management of museums and their collections, including a Master’s in cultural mediation. José has worked in galleries, museums, archives and institutions throughout France and Spain, such as the Galerie Lina Davidov in Paris and the Galería José Pedraza in Montilla. Fluent in English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese, José’s interests include gastronomy, the environment, architecture, and politics.
Leandro Sebastian Bruno Frasno. BA Universidad Empresarial Siglo 21, MA Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. Leandro is an export account executive at Fr. Meyer’s Sohn, where he is in charge of overland, air, and maritime exports from Spain and Portugal. He has worked previously for Italian, Spanish, and Argentine logistics companies as well as the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Córdoba, Argentina. He has extensive teaching experience in the fields of International Trade and International Marketing, including as Assistant Professor at the Universidad Empresarial Siglo 21 in Córdoba. Half-Argentine and half-Italian, Leandro spent a high school year abroad in California, where he received a diploma from Healdsburg Senior High School.
Dr Raúl Espadas Paz. BA, PhD Universidad de Barcelona. Raúl is a professor and researcher at the Universidad de Barcelona, where his areas of concentration are contemporary literature and the examination of the Civil War through the arts. He is also collaborating on the forthcoming study of Andrés Trapiello – an acclaimed, contemporary Spanish poet, novelist, and essayist – and writes regular articles for literary journals. Raúl’s doctoral work focused on the evolution of writers’ diaries since the reinstatement of democracy in post-Franco Spain.
Scot Esposito. BA University of Illinois, Cambridge Diploma in English Language Teaching to Adults (DELTA). Scot is an up-and-coming collage artist and writer who has lived in Barcelona for the last decade. He currently coordinates English classes for young learners at International House Barcelona. A Chicago native who studied linguistics and anthropology during his undergraduate years, he has lived in Hawaii, San Francisco and Berlin. Scot is an
avid mountain explorer.
Elena Ferran. MChem Oxford. After finishing her Master’s degree at Oxford, Elena spent a year working abroad in France and volunteering for an NGO in Malawi, confirming an avid interest in global health issues. She is originally from Spain but has lived in the UK for nine years and speaks both Spanish and English fluently. Elena is now studying medicine at University College London.
